Founder Coaching for the Decisions Only You Can Make
Clearer thinking, stronger leadership, and focused action for the person responsible for where the business goes next.
What Is Founder Coaching?
Founder coaching gives you a structured, confidential place to work through the decisions sitting at the intersection of your business, your leadership, and you.
We may work on growth, priorities, hiring, delegation, a co-founder or team issue, or a decision you’ve been circling for weeks. Sometimes the obstacle is strategic. Sometimes it’s avoidance, uncertainty, or being too deep inside the business to see the real problem clearly.
The goal isn’t to turn you into someone else’s idea of a successful founder. It’s to sharpen your judgment, strengthen your leadership, and help you move the business forward more deliberately.
who this is for
Startup founders navigating growth and uncertainty
Owner-founders at a strategic crossroads
Established founders shifting from operator to leader
You don’t need to be in crisis or running a venture-backed startup. You do need a real problem to work on and a willingness to have your thinking challenged.
why this is different
Founders are often surrounded by people who have a stake in what they decide. Employees need confidence. Co-founders have their own priorities. Investors may be pushing for speed, growth, or returns. Advice usually comes loaded with assumptions about what you should build, how fast you should move, or what kind of leader you need to become.
My work combines professional coaching with first-hand business and founder experience. I won’t treat every challenge as a mindset problem or hand you a generic startup playbook. I’ll help you separate the strategic problem from the personal pattern, challenge assumptions, and offer practical perspective when it genuinely helps.
Clearer Decisions
Think through consequential choices before pressure, momentum, or incomplete information makes them for you.
Focused Execution
Identify the few moves that matter and stop letting urgent work consume all of your attention.
Leadership That Grows
Delegate, communicate, handle conflict, and become the leader the business now requires.

FOUNDER COACHING
I spent two decades building businesses before I became a coach: a digital marketing agency, a hospitality business, a leadership role inside an insurtech startup, and a SaaS product.
I’ve hired, fired, repositioned, rebuilt, and made decisions with real money and livelihoods attached. I understand how easily the founder can become both the engine of the business and one of its constraints.
That experience means I understand the business problem in front of you. My coach training means I don’t assume my answer is automatically yours.
I’m an ICF Associate Certified Coach, trained by iPEC and certified as a CPC and ELI Master Practitioner.
about me
What Pricing Looks Like
Some founders begin with Clarity & Strategy, which includes the Energy Leadership Index assessment, a personalized debrief, and two coaching sessions to turn those insights into action.
Others bring one urgent decision to an Advisory Intensive: three uninterrupted hours of direct, focused strategic thinking.
Founders looking for sustained support can choose Momentum & Growth, a three-month coaching partnership built around stronger decisions, accountability, and meaningful progress over time.
Whether you need one focused intervention or an ongoing thinking partner, there is a clear place to begin.
What Working Together Looks Like
Coaching isn’t a lecture, and it isn’t passive listening.
Every session begins with the decision, conversation, or founder problem taking up the most mental space right now.
We slow it down, separate the facts from the noise, challenge assumptions where needed, and identify the few actions that could materially change the situation.
Some moments call for coaching. Others benefit from strategic perspective or practical experience. I move between them deliberately, based on what best serves the conversation.
I ask direct questions. If I think you’re missing something, I’ll say so. You leave with clearer thinking and a concrete next step.
Founder coaching FAQs
-
A founder coach helps you think through important decisions, clarify priorities, strengthen your leadership, and follow through more consistently while building and running a company.
That may involve growth, positioning, hiring, delegation, co-founder dynamics, team management, or a recurring pattern that keeps slowing the business down. The goal is not generic advice. It is better judgment and more intentional action.
-
The two overlap, but they emphasize different things.
Business coaching often focuses broadly on the performance and operation of a business. Founder coaching focuses more specifically on the person carrying primary responsibility for building it—their decisions, leadership, working patterns, relationships, and ability to adapt as the company changes.
In practice, a founder’s personal patterns and the company’s business problems are rarely completely separate.
-
I work with startup founders, owner-founders, solo founders, co-founders, and established founders whose role is changing as the business grows.
You do not need to have raised capital, employ a large team, or identify with startup culture. What matters is that you are responsible for building the business and are facing a meaningful decision, challenge, or transition.
-
Founder coaching can be useful when you’re facing a consequential decision, repeatedly getting stuck around the same issue, struggling to prioritize, or carrying more of the business than you can sustainably manage.
You don’t have to wait until something is failing. Coaching can also help when the company is growing and the way you have been operating no longer fits what comes next.
-
My current options range from $275 for a standalone Energy Leadership Index assessment and debrief to $3,500 for a three-month coaching partnership.
I also offer a two-session Clarity & Strategy engagement for $500 and a three-hour Advisory Intensive for $950. You can see broader market rates and the factors affecting price in my Founder Coaching Cost guide.
-
That depends on the problem you’re trying to solve and your willingness to act on what emerges.
The value is not simply having another conversation. It comes from making a better decision, addressing an expensive pattern earlier, communicating more effectively, or finally moving something forward that has remained stuck.
